2012-2014: Quality Matters (QM) Research Colleague

I have been a QM Research Colleague for several years now.  The first team of colleagues selected by Quality Matters consisted of five colleagues from around the United States. I was honored to be selected as one of those first five.  Last year, we added three more members. Now there are 8 colleagues.  As a colleague, I can certainly say that I have further developed my research skills. In this role, I review peer reviewed journals to find literature and research pertaining to online course design.  I then write synopses of relevant studies.  The research that we as Colleagues do contributes to a body of knowledge in the Quality Matters research database. It is also used to inform the Quality Matters rubric committee of other design elements not yet considered. I have also been a part of the proposal selection committee for incoming research and have co-presented with my peers.  I have also made such wonderful friends.
